Work

Akarsu is the author of the paper "Deformation of the Bodies by the Result of Length Contraction: A New Approach to the Lorentz Contraction," posted to arXiv in January 2010. In it he offers an alternative treatment of relativistic length contraction, proposing that Lorentz contraction manifests as a deformation of the shape of an accelerated body, with the apparent contraction depending on which part of the body is measured. The work starts from the two postulates of special relativity but reinterprets how length contraction physically appears.
