Borislaw Wankow is an author known for critical essays on the philosophy of science and on the theory of relativity. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.

Work

Wankow was among the contributors to Tabula Rasa, a Jena-based German magazine for critical thinking published from 1992 to 2012. His essay "Wissenschaftstheorie und Relativitätstheorie – Eine kritische Untersuchung der philosophischen Grundlagen der Relativitätstheorie" ("Philosophy of Science and the Theory of Relativity – A Critical Examination of the Philosophical Foundations of the Theory of Relativity") argues that, contrary to the theory's standing as a foundation of modern physics, there are no conclusive proofs of its correctness. He examines Einstein's scientific-theoretical views and methodology and puts forward what he regards as philosophical grounds against the theory. This critique lies outside the scientific mainstream, in which relativity is a well-confirmed theory.

He also wrote essays for the same magazine on other topics in epistemology, including problems of induction and deduction, free will, and consciousness.
