Brad Harrub is an American author and creationist speaker with a background in the biological sciences, known for arguing against Big Bang cosmology and biological evolution from a young-earth creationist standpoint. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Background
Harrub holds a B.S. in biology from Kentucky Wesleyan College and an earned doctorate in anatomy and neurobiology from the College of Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He is the executive director and co-founder of Focus Press and has worked with Apologetics Press, writing and speaking widely on Christian evidences and creation science.
Work
Harrub argues that mainstream scientific accounts of cosmic and biological origins are incompatible with a literal reading of the biblical creation narrative. In the article "The Big Bang Theory—A Biblical Critique," he contends that the Big Bang model and the biblical account of creation cannot be reconciled, framing the former as a description of primeval disorder over billions of years and the latter as one of intentional, ordered design. These positions lie outside the scientific mainstream, which regards the Big Bang as the well-supported standard model of cosmology. He has also authored or co-authored books including Convicted: A Scientist Examines the Evidence for Christianity, The Truth About Human Origins, Dissecting the Truth, and Heart of the Matter.
