Branko Miskovic is an independent researcher and author known for proposing an aether-like, superfluid vacuum as the substratum of physical fields and matter. He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Ideas
Miskovic argues that the vacuum should be treated as a superfluid substance out of which particles can be created in pairs and back into which they annihilate, releasing the energy invested in their formation, and that electromagnetic fields can be reduced to states of this medium. He has circulated several papers through the General Science Journal, including "Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies," "Equations of Electrodynamics," and "Matter is Nothing Else but Respective Energy Distribution"; a version of "Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies" was reprinted in the dissident-physics periodical Galilean Electrodynamics. These proposals stand outside mainstream physics, which does not describe the vacuum as a material aether or superfluid.
