Christopher A. Laforet is an independent researcher known for self-published papers proposing a fractal model of the universe and a unified "Universal Force." He is listed in The Worldwide List of Dissident Scientists.
Ideas
Laforet has posted theoretical-physics papers to the viXra preprint archive, including "On the Fractal Nature of the Universe" (viXra:1204.0014, 2012) and "Reduction in Gravitational Force as a Result of the Relativistic Doppler Effect" (viXra:1305.0153, 2013), and he has presented related work through the Natural Philosophy Alliance. He proposes that the four fundamental forces are different aspects of a single Universal Force which is repulsive and whose amplitude increases as the distance between bodies decreases. The mechanism is based on a re-interpretation of special relativity in which the geodesics of space-time are given wave-like properties. These proposals are self-published and lie outside mainstream physics.
