Abstract

The nature of a simple object in both classical and quantum physics is formulated on the basis that an object is a random walk of a special kind. The de Broglie relationship, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, the dispersion of a Gaussian ?wave packet? in quantum mechanics, and the space-time Lorentz transformation are derived.
