Abstract
Using some new principles developed here to understand relativity, the time dilation effects of the special and general theories are modeled mathematically and explained in physical terms. The explanations are based on the wave nature of matter and light and how these waves propagate through space. These principles provide new insight into the kinematic effects of relativity, and may provide a means to integrate the theory with Quantum Mechanics.
