Early Life
Patricia Ann (nee Darby) de Hilster was born on December 7, 1936 to Joe and Helen Darby. She met Bob de Hilster in their junior year of high school. She graduated from Wyandotte high in June of 1955 right in front of Bob de Hilster. Pat married Bob on September 7, 1957 and worked to help Bob through College. While in college, Pat and Bob had their first son, David de Hilster.
Professional Career
Pat worked as a secretary to the manager of a Sales office in Detroit MI and then as laboratory assistant to a metallurgist at a ball bearing company in Ann Arbor MI. After her son David was born she became a full time homemaker. While living in Long Beach CA, David ask his mother to be part of his documentary film.
