Raymond H. V. Gallucci (born December 15, 1953) is an American nuclear engineer and a dissident-science author who has written extensively for the John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society (CNPS/JCNPS), critiquing mainstream relativity and cosmology. He holds a PhD in nuclear engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Much of his independent work applies elementary mathematical analysis to test whether the theories advanced by other dissident scientists are at least plausible.
Biography
Gallucci was born in Albany, New York, and resides in Frederick, Maryland. He earned a PhD in nuclear engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1980, with a dissertation on a methodology for evaluating the probability of fire-induced loss of nuclear power plant safety functions. His formal training required extensive study of physics, particularly atomic and nuclear physics, and during his university years he developed an additional interest in relativity, quantum physics, and astronomy.
He is a licensed Professional Engineer and completed a roughly 40-year career in nuclear power, in both the commercial and governmental sectors, including work at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the area of probabilistic safety assessment. Within his professional field he has authored more than 200 technical papers and journal articles.
Scientific contributions
Gallucci's interest in dissident science was reignited around 2010 after he encountered the work of the late Dr. Paul Marmet and of Stephen Crothers, whom he credits with first spurring his interest in the field. He is a charter member of the John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society and contributed papers to its annual conferences from 2015 through 2019, as well as to the CNPS Proceedings.
Gallucci regards black holes, the big bang, and many currently popular theories in cosmology as incorrect. Rather than advancing a comprehensive theory of his own, his stated approach is to examine the theories of other dissident scientists and apply simple mathematics to assess whether they are plausible. His papers address relativity and time dilation, the constancy or variability of the speed of light, the cosmological redshift, alternatives to dark matter for the galactic rotation anomaly, gravity, aether, the Electric Universe model, and related topics. He has also published the book The Renegade Physicist (2021), a collection of his dissident-science writings.
Gallucci's areas of interest include cosmology, natural history, relativity, gravity, galactic phenomena, aether, variable light speed, the plasma universe, and the early Earth.
