Dennis Patrick Allen, Jr. was born in Muskegon, Michigan, and received his AB (1964) and PhD (1968) from UC Berkeley. He served as a mathematics professor at Michigan Tech, U (1969-1972), but spent most of his career in industry as a computer scientist. He recently worked with [../../php2/index.php?tab0=Scientists&tab1=Scientists&tab2=Display&id=237 David L. Bergman] on a spinning, twisting helicon particle.
