About the author
Thomas G. Barnes (1911–2001) was an American physicist, professor at the University of Texas at El Paso, and a prominent young-earth creationist — a co-founder of the Institute for Creation Research and the Creation Research Society. He is best known for his argument that the decay of the Earth's magnetic field implies a young Earth, developed in his book Origin and Destiny of the Earth's Magnetic Field.
