Abstract

Ours is a wonderful world and a physicist only has a way to look at it and understand, which Feynman believed is a major part of the true culture of modern times. We are not bystanders only but we have joined in the greatest adventure the human mind has ever begun! No formulae can deliver simplicity, total insight. Scrutiny need not be exhaustive but illustrative, as a respite to change the ken of outlook. An exhaustive list of the properties of the physical picture of the world cannot be made; it can be illustrative only. People who have the habit of asking good questions of nature have a distinct place in human society; if they didn't exist nothing new would ever be learned. Our responsibility is to do what we can, learn what we can, improve solutions, and pass them on. It is our responsibility to leave for the people of the future a free hand. In the impetuous youth of humanity we can make grave errors that can stunt our growth for a long time. It has been done so many times before!
