This category collects work on antigravity — proposals to shield, cancel, reverse or otherwise control the gravitational interaction, and the researchers on this wiki who pursue them.
The field is broader than the popular image of it. Entries here include serious attempts at gravitational shielding and gravity modification, electrogravitic and magnetogravitic proposals in the tradition of T. T. Brown, theories in which gravity is an electromagnetic or mechanical effect and therefore in principle controllable, and experimental claims of weight reduction. What unites them is the conviction — rejected by general relativity, in which gravity is the geometry of spacetime and cannot be screened — that gravity is a force with a medium and a mechanism, and that a mechanism can be interfered with.
