This category collects structural approaches to physics — work in which the shape, geometry and topology of physical objects is treated as fundamental, rather than as a derived or dispensable feature.

The common conviction is that a physical theory should say what things are, not merely how they behave under measurement: that a particle has a size and a form, that a field has a structure, and that a model which cannot be pictured has not yet explained anything. This puts the work here in direct opposition to the point-particle assumption of the Standard Model.
